Cricket
Cricket has a proud history at Ignatius Park College. Throughout our history we have competed in local, state wide and national competitions with mixed levels of success. Every year our Open and U/14 teams compete in the local Townsville interschool competition. This competition is a stepping stone to then compete in the Queensland School Sports State Cup. Ignatius were state Cup Champions in 2002.
Each year St Joseph's Nudgee College (Brisbane) hosts Christian Brothers Cricket Week. This event offers all schools the opportunity to compete in a challenging and enjoyment carnival against strong competition. Schools from Queensland, all across Australia and New Zealand participate in this carnival. Ignatius Park has been successful in winning the Shield Competition (Division 1) in 1994, and the Plate Competition (Division 2) in 2002 and 2007.

Acknowledgement of Country
The Ignatius Park College Community would like to humbly acknowledge the Wulgurukaba peoples on whose land our College is located, as well as the Bindal peoples on whose land many of us live and travel across daily. We respectfully thank the elders of this traditional land both past and present for guiding us through the journey of time to where we are today.
